Solstice class · refurbished 2019 · South America & Antarctica
The second Solstice-class ship, built by Meyer Werft in Germany and in service since 2009. At 121,878 GT and about 2,850 guests, she is the same size as the 2010-built Celebrity Eclipse. She has the Lawn Club on the top deck and The Retreat, an area reserved for suite guests, and the line lists ten dining venues. She was refurbished in 2019. Where Eclipse is mostly a European-summer ship, Equinox covers the Caribbean, Europe, South America and Antarctica, with Antarctic cruises from Buenos Aires planned.

I am considering Celebrity Equinox for my first cruise. Explain what to watch out for, what is included in the fare, and what costs extra. Do not guess information missing from the material, and list what I should verify on the official website.
