CRUISE LINE

MSC Cruises

Lower fares and a relaxed, casual style. Tiers are Cruise Pitta's own grouping, not an official classification.

The cruise division of the major Geneva, Switzerland-based shipping group MSC. It expanded rapidly from its Mediterranean base and now operates more than 20 large ships worldwide. Its LNG-powered World Class ships (such as MSC World Europa and MSC World America) are its flagships, and its prices relative to ship size are modest, which makes it popular with families. It sets itself apart with its facilities, including Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, a private island in the Bahamas, the Yacht Club (an onboard VIP area), a large water park, and Cirque du Soleil-style shows. In Asia, MSC Bellissima sails year-round itineraries calling at Japan, China and Taiwan, making it one of the main options for cruises departing from Japan. Winter Middle East (Dubai) deployments have also been cancelled for winter 2027/28, following winter 2026/27 (MSC World Europa changes to 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises for winter 2027/28).

Example question

I am considering MSC Cruises for my first cruise. Explain what to watch out for, what is included in the fare, and what costs extra. Do not guess information missing from the material, and list what I should verify on the official website.
