Many ships also support cold ironing, connecting to shore power at ports. Viking Jupiter itself is a conventional diesel-electric ship that entered service in 2019, while the company is pursuing fleet-wide environmental improvements, including plans to enter the world's first hydrogen-powered ship, Viking Libra, into service in 2026.
